Remote Desktop
Windows VMs open in a tab of their own, through the same IAP tunnel, with no separate RDP client.
Updated
- If you do not have Windows credentials yet, choose Set Windows Password… on the running instance. The guest agent creates or resets the account, which can take a minute; Save for this VM keeps the password in the Keychain.
- Choose Connect via RDP. With saved credentials, or credentials in Secret Manager, you are signed in automatically.
- The Mac clipboard syncs text both ways. Type Clipboard Text (⌥⌘V) types it as keystrokes instead, for windows that refuse a paste.
- Pick a shared folder in the credential form and it appears in Windows as a drive under
\\tsclient. - The desktop follows the window size by default. Resolution, colour depth, audio, admin session, Restricted Admin mode and Network Level Authentication are connection settings.
- Reconnect rebuilds the session in place; Sign Out in the Session menu logs off Windows.
